I was looking to purchase a car from a local dealership in Scarsdale and was hoping to have a pre-purchase inspection. I live in Nashville and didn't have the ability to see the car prior to the purchase, so this pre-inspection was VITAL. My fiancé (who is currently deployed in Afghanistan) talked to the one of the owner's at Sal's, who said they would go and pick the car up from the dealership and would gladly take a look at the car and let us know what kind of condition it was in.

When I called to schedule the pre-inspection, not only did the other owner tell me he wouldn't pick it up, he refused to offer me service at all and HUNG UP on me. He didn't bother to check with the other owner and was incredibly rude. I'm pro-small business, but BOO on this one.

Just moved into the area. Needed to find a good auto repair garage. First time there. Got an oil change today. The garage is first rate. Clean, updated, open and friendly. The waiting area, albeit not very large, allows you to see what's going on with your vehicle as the work is happening. They work as a team, and saw smiles as they were working. Nice uniforms. Clean, as a garage will allow. Very helpful in letting me know what my options were. They've been in business for over 40 years. I'm a fan of customer service and they seem to have it here. They were very polite to me and they got my car done expeditiously. Prices for certain routine checkups and fixes were clearly stated. I'll be coming back for certain. Thumbs up!

I've ordered a car part from them once and they installed it for me too. I received good service from them. Though the part was a bit expensive, their labor fee wasn't, which is the main reason why I'll be sticking to Sal's Auto. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a more personable place to get your car repaired.
