Japanese "Konbini" in Forest Hills. It feels like walking into a Family Mart in Tokyo

Prices - obviously more expensive than a larger Japanese market but not unreasonable
Best for: onigiri rice balls (salmon, tuna, spicy shrimp tempura) $1.59 and Saturdays only the potato croquettes are great

A rarity to find a genuine Japanese grocery store completely stocked with Japanese items. When I'm in Forest Hills, this place is my go-to for traditional ingredients and groceries. They carry fresh Japanese produce (shiso, enoki, gobo, etc), fresh noodles, tea, some packaged seafood, candy, and old school pasta mixes, furikake, umeboshi, etc. Prices are very reasonable.
