I am now 27 years old, living in the state of Oregon, and I still look back fondly on the huge impact St. Savior had on my education and life. There was so much personal attention that high school felt like cattle herding by comparison.. and it essentially was. The teachers attend to their work with purpose and proven technique. Even at the high school level, I became aware of how advanced my reading and writing skills were and especially at the professional level as a paralegal. If you want your kid to feel valued and attended to, this school offered me the personal attention that I needed. It did not stress the religious aspects to an offensive point, as I am not Catholic, but appreciated that there were expectations in terms of propriety and respect-- how you present yourself and treat others. Educationally, it more than prepared me for high school. More, in fact, I know that my capacity for writing essays, which I got from St. Saviors, was pivotal in my obtaining a full tuition scholarship to college years later. I hope it hasn't declined in quality-- I appreciated having expectations held. I missed teachers truly expecting something of me later on in my education.
