I live next to two parking lots owned by saint peters littered with trash and neglected by the university. Feral cats are fed in the one lot and no one bothers to pickup the styrofoam plates and bowels that are left out with cat food. Pigeons swarm the leftover cat food and in turn crap all over the cars parked around the area. The neighborhood suffers from neglect and I am very disappointed in the way this university treats the community.

The professors themselves, are overall caring and helpful, but the graduate curriculum hasn't changed in 10 years, even though the education system has. Some classes are outdated and useless, as a result, you waste money on classes not needed. Besides that, it's impossible to get help from the bursar or registrar because the people working in the offices are not the classiest. They generally have an attitude and don't care or return calls.

When my son left for orientation we knew immediately. ..this was it! A very caring and welcoming environment. He loves it! Truly a gem and the location is allowing him to explore nyc as well.

This is the treasure of Jersey City and perhaps even all of the Greater NYC area. The college is very reasonably priced, and the main campus is within a truly dynamic city very close to Manhattan. If you're a student, you will be challenged academically; but you will also learn a great deal and gain so much practical experience. Some of the classes I attended were easily on the "ivy league" level; and were anything but easy; but you will remember what you learned 10 years later. The professors actually care and will give you individual attention if you want or need it. I cannot give this college enough stars. I graduated from here in 1983; and I continue to hear good things about this university.
