I was a seventh grader here back in September and October of 1994 and it was the worst two months of my entire academic career.....constant belittling, teasing, bullying, and, especially, the racism. I was crying nearly everyday until my family transferred me to a much nicer school.
I understand that the principal has since been replaced, which is actually good news, considering that he was part of the problem.
I just hope and pray that the current leadership will address these issues more aggressively with their current students.......and, if possible, maybe even those fellow seventh-graders who contributed to those awful experiences (I can provide the names upon request)
The only bright spots: that history teacher with the weekly jeopardy games (I forget her name) and the basketball court (I hope to have my own court based on that)
