Good happy hour, and customer service. Looking forward to trying the oyster special!
The theme is supposed to be beachy, but the front and the back of the restaurant are a little disjointed - looks like a beach house in the back but like a normal bar in the front.

What a wonderful night out with family. The seafood paella fried oysters and lobster were just a few of the delicious dishes we had. The service was funny attentive and on point. Come here for a relaxing Long Island shore feel in the city.

I tried this restaurant a few years ago and felt very underwhelmed. I work in the neighborhood now and read about the new chef. Two friends and I went yesterday for lunch and were super impressed. The food and service well exceeded our expectations. Our waitress was professional, knowledgeable and attentive. She knew we were there on a lunch hour and expedited the food accordingly. The shellfish from the raw bar was very fresh- the oysters were especially delicious. The lunch portions were quite large. Everything came out hot and tasted great. Loved the pesto fries! Will definitely return to Sagaponack again. I have feeling it will become a regular spot.

Wow. What a difference a year makes! Since the new owner/chef took over, this restaurant has been much improved. The decor really gives you that Hamptons/Montauk feel as soon as you walk in and the theme is further cemented through the new menu options and happy hour specials. Very warm, intimate ambience. The 495 happy hour is a clever ode to Long Island and is one of the truly great deals in the Flatiron area if you are looking for some craft cocktails (and who could turn down $1 oysters?) after work. I ordered the fish tacos; the fish was cooked perfectly, the mango salsa was a perfect accoutrements to the fish and the portion size was very reasonable for the price. At the suggestion of the manager, Kyongil, I tried the Montauk Mango IPA which played well with the flavor profile of my dish and would be something I would buy and drink at home (thanks again for the rec!). I cannot say enough about the service and Kyongil in particular; everything was top notch - in line with some of the best restaurants in NYC. Kyongil was very warm, attentive and his depth of knowledge about the menu made ordering quite simple and easy. Kyongil and his staff of well trained servers and bartenders elevated my overall dining experience at Sagaponack and made visiting a great decision in retrospect. I would definitely take a date here in the future and I would recommend the place to any of my friends. I will definitely be back!
