I am Somali. This is not Somali food. We essentially ate fajitas (chicken suqaar). They served it to us with sour cream. Somali cuisine does NOT include sour cream. The sabayaad (chapati) is pre-made (probably store bought) paratha. I was shocked. It was not authentic at all. Unfortunately it is the only Somali restaurant in NY so many people will believe this is authentic Somali food. I recommend going to cities with Somali communities (Minneapolis, Columbus, Toronto, Ottawa, etc.) to try real Somali food. Two stars for the OK rice. Also, the server barely knew English (she was not Somali). She messed up our order.
