They ruined my wife's valentine's day. I called the day before to arrange for a delivery of flowers to my wife at her place of business. They assured me over the phone that the flowers would be delivered in the morning. When the day rolled around by noon the flowers had not arrived. I called the shop and was told they had already left and were on the way. I asked if they could give me an estimate on time and they took my number to call me back. I specifically asked that they not call my wife, since I wanted the flowers to be a surprise. They then proceeded to call my wife and told her the flowers were on the way and that she worked at a big company so it would take time to find her. So much for the surprise! By 2:30 when the flowers still weren't delivered, I called to follow up and were told the flowers had never even left the shop. They couldn't even tell me when they would be delivered.
I understand that valentine's day is very busy for florists and there is only so much that can be done but flat out lying to a customer is no way to conduct business and not even calling back to explain is crazy. I think the saying is "Underpromise and Overdeliver", they obviously have it backwards.
