S & S Cheesecake Inc

This place is a trip - unassuming old brick building on a dirty Bronx street churning out the BEST cheesecake on the planet. Well done S&S.

S&S is a Bronx classic which is in my opinion the top 3 cheesecake in NY. There cheese cake is freshly made and always very very soft . There crust is fantastic and differs from Juniors but in a good way . I've tried classic pineapple and strawberry and all were amazing . The cake itself is creamy and rich in flavor where it's almost impossible to just have a slice . The prices are also much cheaper then other places like juniors and the Cheesecake Factory .

I'm not a cake and sweets dessert person, but I've had S&S at parties, or something, and people have asked me to pick one up on the way to work a couple of times, since it's right near the subway I'm preferential to Italian cheesecake, but yes, it is the best cheesecake. It comes in one flavor, plain. No toppings available, and no toppings needed. In fact, if you eat cheesecake as infrequently as me, having a topping just covers up your once in a decade taste of cheesecake. And, if it's once a decade, you might as well have the best. Just walk over to the (small) factory door. knock, wait a minute until someone with an apron and hair net comes to the door, hand them the money for the size you want (large or small-and if you are taking the subway, be aware that large is like carrying a pizza) and in a minute, someone will come back with your cake. If it's closed, just look for a sign in the window of a few stores within a block that sell it, you you won't be out of luck.

I've heard many great things about this company, but unfortunately i haven't experienced that. Their customer service and ability to follow their word is terrible. I've been contacting and emailing this company since Oct.14 2015 and it is now Nov.6 2015. Every time i call and ask to speak to a manager, the associates tell me the manager isnt available and assure that they would pass the message along and someone would reach out to me. Neither has happened. I call the phone number listed at least 3x, and each time no one picks up the phone. I'm so disappointed that I'm unable to leave a great review as the rest, but customer service is everything.

Our friends would bring us this cheesecake when they visited us in Florida, from New York, and we loved it. Recently we ordered one for a special occasion and were impressed with the service and as usual it was delicious. Thank you S & S Cheesecake.
