A laid-back, unpretentious experience in the heart of the chaos of Union Square. Friendly, attentive staff, decent drink prices, and communal seating in the back part of the restaurant make this a fun happy hour spot. Low lighting in the back. That said, I deduct a star because of the food. We ordered the deep fried pickles and fried mac and cheese balls. The pickles were OK, but the mac and cheese was dried out.

The food was great and the cocktails were reasonable during happy hour. Atmosphere is nice. Deducting a star because there is absolutely NO service in the back room.

Fantastic selection of whiskey with knowledgeable wait-staff. Non-intimidating atmosphere to order a flight for some whiskey tasting; the waiters will teach you about what you order. Good food, too.
Excellent bar to spend some time as you wait to get into the Raines Law Room speakeasy nearby.
