This is my ideal gym. The facilities are excellent. Beyond clean is a must for me in a semi-public facility. You can count on cleanliness here. The gym and aquatic areas are never too crowded for a comfortable and relaxing workout. Salt-water pools and jacuzzi are wonderful, cuts the chlorine smells. Wonderful staff, usually on the ball. We are all human and sometimes we have to be patient with others, right? I wish the yoga studio was better located. It's hard to fuse mind and body with a hip hop dance class from the next studio booming in you heard during downward facing dog.

Without regret, i am forced to reduce the rating on this gym due to mgmt. I have been a member for several years and chose to cancel a week ago. As a thank you, i am forced to pay for an additional month despite giving 3 weeks notice. I was also forced to come in and fill out paper work to cancel. (Other gyms allow this to take place online or the phone). Then, as if i havent lost enough of my time, im am forced to sit there and be questioned by the General Manager in a condescending manner. I was asked why i was leaving. I explained i am using my company's gym. She felt the need to tell me about what other people usually don't do. People also usually don't come to any gym. She didnt even want to know what they could do better or if there was anything that could make me stay. This type of conversation would have been much more acceptable and professional, especially since I'm forced to have a sit down. I don't need you to act like you care about my well being, but don't waiste my time and money. This was not a cheap investment. The 300+ sign on fee with their joke of a fitness exam, should have been sufficient enough to earn a respectful dismissal. I did enjoy my experience with Alecia, training with Rimoun, and spin class with Tom (despite their lack of proper cooling, another miss thanks to mgmt ). They really messed up with this. If I did decide to return to another gym, it wouldn't be here.

There is no doubt that the equipment is excellent and the pool and whirlpool is well maintained but when my jacket was stolen I decided to leave. I considered L.A Fitness but their reviews were awful and I squashed that alternative. Maybe it is the Chrome section of Carteret the gym is located in

The worst trainers in the world! I've never seen a senior woman load 800 lbs on a leg press before I came to this place. The problem She can't press it more three inches down instead of the full two foot drop. Yes Dennis! I'm talking about you.
The rest of the trainers are 25% body fat or worse. Why would an moron pay for trainers that are fat? College degrees and online certifications will never trump experience and hard work. PERIOD!
I pay $70 dollars a month for a gym that won't clean up the weights and handle certain individuals that destroy the gym.
I have brought 10 people to that gym on referral and will taking them all with me when I leave. The management is incompetent as one of my referrals took over an hour to get into the gym on a guest pass. They wonder why they are going belly up in the near future. I'll be buying this place out when it inevitably collapses like the Soviet Union.
I'm going to LA fitness around the corner where 80% of their clientele around flocked to. The equipment is better and more plentifully LA.

I love the gym, they are reasonably priced when you figure in all the classes, and included meetings with trainers every 6 weeks and on staff nurses quarterly. They also offer an extensive Kids fitness program for a great price (also open to non-members) My daughter loves the classes. My only complaint is that they charge for everything else. Pilates Reformer, Small Group Classes, etc. There are some things I'd love to do, but the cost of the extras on top of the gym membership is prohibitive.
