Runway Towing Corp.

This company is a total rip off. Around 5:30 in the evening my daughter was in a fender bender on the highway and the car sustained minor damage but very drivable. It was towed because my daughter complained that her wrist hurts so they toke her to the hospital for X-rays so the car had to be tolled. Around 8:00pm I called to pick up the car but the said the were closed at 5:00pm so I couldn't pick it until the next day. I arrived the next morning shortly after they opened and saw the car was right in front of the office which is located in the yard. I ask for the bill and expected to be charged around $200 because the receipt they gave us at the tow was $125 for towing, 25 per day for storage and $4 per mile over the first 10 miles but to my surprise the bill was for $505. It included $50 administrative fee which I didn't mine but they charge $80 for pull out fees when my car was right in front, clean up fee of $50 for depris on the highway and there were none, 2 days storage fees of $70 which didn't make sense since it was there for less than a day and I wasn't able to pick it up the day of the toll because they were closed at 5:00pm and then a yard fee of $50 which is like double dipping due to the fact there is a storage fee charged (where else would the car be stored?). They charged you all these unnecessary fees regardless if it applies to you or not. Their own employee who was waiting on me agreed with me but couldn't do anything about the charges so I spoke to their supervisor and all he said was don't pay it and have your insurance company paid it. Totally unethical company. I wouldn't be surprised if they start charging for labor or security fees.This is outrageous and their license to rob people should be revoked.

Very unethical company. They get you when you are down. They tell you that you dont need to call AAA as AAA will just call them anyway; they convince you to use them and AAA will reimburse you. Then they tell you that you can take it to their shop and if you don't want the service all we pay for is the tow. Lies all lies, they were trying to charge 5 hour labor for a starter replacement , so we asked to have the car returned to us and they wanted to charge us $425. I was very disapointed because none of this was mention. Do not let them tow your car.

Garbage company , scammers. Stole quarters from the car !!! Stole PLaystation3 that was attached inside the SUV to the entr. System ! Avoid !!!!

I'm writing on behalf of my father who told me about an awful experience he had with them, I was in disbelief. They lied about their rates, saying towing would be free if they did the repairs. Then my father told them to not do the repairs, so that he could take it to a different mechanic and get a better rate, well they did the repairs anyway against his order, then still charged him for the towing on top of that. I feel awful he had to go through such a terrible experience with them. I can't believe how they are still in business.

STAY A WAY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY!!!!
they have the worst customer service,the worst drivers & dispatch.
they using the low as AUTHORIZED TOW BECAUSE THEY ONLY AUTHORIZED ON THE BELT PKWY.if you get by any chance by them IMMEDIATELY CALL THE DCA AND COMPLAIN ABOUT THEM,THE NUMBER IS 311 FOR THE DCA.
DON'T LET THEM PICKUP YOUR CAR AND DON'T SIGN ANYTHING AT ALL!!!
ONES YOU SIGN YOU ARE ON THE HOOK FOR THEM!!
AND IF YOU ARE ON THE EXIT OF THE HIGHWAY CALL DIFFERENT COMPANY-A LOCAL COMPANY THAT CHARGE & BEHAVE BETTER THEN THIS COMPANY RUNWAY-JUST RUNAWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!!!
