In 2001, my mom was a fairly healthy, active vibrant independent woman without any prior history of cardiovascular disease. Within a year of Dr. Rosenberg prescribing Lipitor, my mother started experiencing complications. Yet Dr. Rosenberg scoffed at the side-effects and convinced her to keep taking Lipitor, while she was obviously being slowly poisoned.
By 2004, she suffered almost all of the now recognized side-effects: cataracts, memory loss, muscle damage, neuropathy, type II diabetes and liver and kidney damage, as well ALS-type shaking and hearing loss. Finally in 2005, in a scary episode where she developed rhabdomyalosis, we immediately ceased her Lipitor.
After three months, many of the side-effects abated, but she was never the same woman again. She now had such exercise intolerance and couldn't walk very far. Statin drugs greatly diminish CoQ10, which is the essence of cellular energy in the mitochondria.
She wanted to be healthy enough to enjoy her retirement years. Instead she trusted in this quack and pharmaceutical companies and was robbed a basic quality of life.
