One of the worst customer service and billing department too is full of lazy people. Overall even 1 * is too much for such pathetic service.

Take forever to treat you. Some Rude, disrespectful nurses on staff, the RN was lovely but I was screamed at by this one other nurse while I was in excruciating pain telling me to "get over it". I'm sorry I thought a hospital was supposed to help people and not leave them in pain until it's convenient for the staff to help you. Save your money and time and take the drive to ANY other hospital because the level of disrespect here is inexcusable. Terrible hospital, just as bad as Trinitas.

until I screamed to check him.
Checked him in waiting room,
said to take a couple of Tylenol.
They barely do anything for you,
it takes a long while to be seen.
Keep billing wrong insurance.

I was involved in an autobile accident with a passenger. The idiot that hit me destroyed the passenger side leaving my passenger with injuries. We were transported to RWJU Hosital in Rahway by ambulance. I had a laceration that needed stitches but this physician assistant that treated me decided that my wound was not deep enough to be stitch. When I went for my follow up with a medical doctor, he asked why you didn't get stitches. I told him that a physician assistant at RWJ said that I didn't need one.
Enough about me because I have premium health insurance and could go anywhere but my passenger did not have private health insurance because she's an international student and it was summertime, no school (not covered) so she was treated differently although it was an auto acident. My passenger was barely seem, like she wasn't even there. She complained about pain but it felt on death ears. I believed that she got this type of treatment because she did not have private insurance. A couple of weeks later, she received a bill in the mail for over a thousand dollar. I don't know if it's just this hospital or the whole medical system is scam, but wow!
My auto insurance company settled the bill but prescribing over the counter pain medication, which was all that the physician assistant did, cost a thousand bucks! I could have an accident/emergency in front of RWJU Hospital in Rahway and I will request to be seen somewhere else.

Wow! I had an out patient procedure there a few weeks back. From the moment I walked in until the moment I was released by being wheeled out the front door, I was impressed. I came in contact with a minimum of 8 staff, each one better than the next. They handed me off from one to the next flawlessly. If I didn't know I was in RWJ Rahway Hospital, I'd have believed if I was toldI was in an exclusive hospital for VIP's. Well done team, I hope you know that your hard work is being noticed. It was a pleasure and you all did a great job. It's clear to me how hard you're trying to be the best you can be. Very very impressive!!! What you staff members all may be interested in knowing as well is that I asked a number of you why it's such a great hospital, and you all had the exact same answer "I love the people I work with". Great stuff.
