Reviews to RMD Urgent Care
My family has been here a few times. At my recent visit, our 7 year old needed an X-Ray due to a sprained ankle. The X-Ray technician couldn't have been more helpful, we were able to not only get his X-Ray done in no time, but were also able to view the results and discuss next steps with the doctor. Patient care and customer service should always be the #1 priority for any healthcare facility; and you get that here and more............ Thank you, and stay blessed.

I never write reviews but I also have never experienced such a headache with a walk in clinic. Do not go to this location!
First, I'll start with the visit. I went to RMD Urgent Care because I was going out of town that evening and developed a rash on both of my hands. When I was checking in, the secretary swiped my card two different times. I had to make sure she didn't charge my co-pay twice-which she did- so she had to put that money back onto my card. After that, they took me back into a room in which the nurse took me back with a computer, took my vitals and then asked me my medical history to log onto the computer. This lady asked me if I had any previous surgeries which I stated that I had a knee scope. She had no idea what I was talking about so I stated that it was a knee orthoscopy. Still....had no idea. I had to explain what it was that I had done to me. Started feeling a little weary of this place but kept going. The next question she asked was if I had every been hospitalized which I told her yes and for salmonella posionioning. Again--no idea what I was talking about. She made me spell it to her and proceeded to ask me what it was and how I got it. Any person in the medical field (whether new or old) should know what these two things are and if you don't....fake it and look it up or ask someone when you leave the room. At this point I was about to get up and walk out. I really needed something for my hands though and had no time to get to my regular doctor. The doctor came in after about 15 minutes which she was just outside in the hall talking about her husband to the other workers- you can hear everything in the rooms. She gave me a steroid and my visit was finally over.
Round two. About a month after the visit I receive a bill in the mail for $140.00. I know that this is impossible because on the bill it states that my original bill was $394 but with the copay and discounts taken off--I only owe $140. The part that stood out most was "insurance coverage $0.00." I picked up the phone and called the doctor. They didn't answer and never returned my voicemail. I then called United Health Care to see why none of it was covered. Thanks to them for doing all the dirty work, they found that RMD had turned it in as an out-of-network claim but they are in network. They reached out multiple times to settle this but no one ever called them back. UHC asked me after a week of trying to either call again or actually go to RMD to have them report a corrected claim and they gave me the tax number in which they needed to report it as.
Finally- round three. I called before I drove over and the lady answerd the phone. She let me know that they don't handle any of the bills and that I needed to call their bill provider. When I reached out, Nina let me know that the doctors office doesn't know that they do not take United Health Care and that I am out of network. I let her know that I called prior to going and I looked on the website which clearly states that they accept UHC and that at the point it's on them. Nina said to me " well since its your first time going, I'll just write off the $140.00." When I asked her to send me something to let me know it has been written off, she couldn't do anything. She said the "system has a glitch lately" so I asked her to send me an email or something because I need it for my records. She said she couldn't send an email bc it's secured. I then asked again for something and she said she is sending me a receipt in which everything says paid and balance of $0.
The whole visit was a disaster from the start. They are obviously ripping people off with their false advertisement. If you do decide to go to this place make sure you call your insurance company first to see if they are in network. I plan on staying away---and I would suggest that you all do the same thing too.

It's a wonderful and clean facility. The service Is timely and the staff is very knowledgable and couteous . I would highly recommend anyone to go if needed. It's hard to come by service these days where you don't feel like just a number being served. It's nice to get honest sincere service once in a while , especially if you or or a loved one are sick. I can't say enough good things about this facility.
