Riverside Pediatrics

The best pediatricians in the area. Trust me, we looked around, this is the one to go to if you live in the area. The good thing about them is that they have a couple of locations in the area. If this placed is close you can still likely go to the place in Secaucus which is a short drive from here (if you have a car that is).

The most obvious ding -- the place is pretty crowded, so don't do any walk-ins during the morning and expect to be seen in less than an hour. Do walk ins during the evening if possible.

We live 1 hour away. We still go there because we love Dr. Haddawi. He always take great care of my children. He has been our pediatrician since 2012 and we will not change him.The staff are nice too.

We transferred from the same practice in Hoboken. The Paulus Hook office is pretty, but patient care has been a mess for us. For example: No one told me that my exclusively breastfed baby needed vitamin D. No one called for my daughter's 18-month comprehensive check up.

The final straw was when today, accidentally, my daughter got extra shots for the HIB and Pc vaccines. I am more than upset as there is no reason why my 2-year old should have unnecessary metals/toxins/dead viruses in her body. She also got the side effects - pain in one leg, and a lot of redness and swelling on the other. I have been very careful about all her vaccines, have read a lot, etc. My husband took her today for her annual check up, and since he is not up to-date on her vaccines, he did not protest when they gave her two accidental shots of vaccines she did not need! (later they told me it was a book-keeping error).

Dr. Omar Baker is a friendly doctor, but I would no longer trust him and this practice with my kids' care.

It feels as if you are in the waiting room for ages. They completely disregard the fact that you have an appointment. The nasty attitudes of the assistants don't help either. All in all, horrible facility. Avoid by all means necessary.

First time, we only waited 2 hours (with an appointment). Second time, 3 hours (again, yes, we had an appointment). I do not understand these reviews. How can anyone give this place a good reviews. My son is almost two years old and trying to keep him happy and occupied while waiting that long is impossible. Never ever ever again. You've got to be kidding me.
