River House Grille

There was absolutely nothing to like about my family's experience tonight. Service was absolutely non existent. A complete fumble on service and food. Wasted almost four hours and then was charged for good we were never served. And automatically gave them selves a $60 too without telling us. What a scam
buisness. Don't waste your time or aggravation. Every table around us was cursing the place, We all swear we will never go back. With all the nice places on the nautical mile this place is an ulcer and a total disgrace to the restaurant industry in general.
I will be warning all my friends about river house grill.

I just don't know where to start. We ordered oysters for appetizer and they smelled and tasted unfresh. We left some on the serving plate. I ordered fra diavolo pasta. It came in this large serving dish with tons of clams, shrimp, two lobster halfs and many mussels. It looked amazing. However, everything on this plate was disgusting. The shrimp and the lobster was way overcooked just horrible, I left a big claw, didn't even eat it. The mussels were so over cooked that when you opened them there was nothing inside. Worst of all, I didn't realize till later but they charged me 57 dollars. After we were in a cab my friend told me it was 37 dollars so they overcharged by 20 on top of the fact that it was the worst dish ever. How can a place like this be so bad considering they should have fresh seafood????? I'm so mad, never ever going back there

Really good and not as expensive as other places in the area. Our waiter was very accommodating.

Went with 8 people for my daughters birthday. Service and food were good but when we received the bill it was dark and not clear that a 20% gratuity was added. We paid the bill and left the waiter "Michael" a $100.00 tip. realized later that this was in addition to the 20% added so we called and the manager told us there was nothing he could do about this. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.

Food was okay, but the servers need customer service training. The worst of it all is when a 20% gratuity was added to the check! We found that pretty rude.
It was not a well deserved tip for the service. They need to worry about their pockets less to have some return customers.
Food was expensive. $ 57 for a seafood pasta dish...
The bus boys were way nicer than the servers. I see why there were so many empty tables at this restaurant.
