Rite Aid Pharmacy

Pharmacy phone evidently not working for the customer because you have to wait to get transferred to the main number then they will connect you to the pharmacy..so much wasted time. Anyway I initially had my prescription filled in west orange which is one of the most friendliest branch, I transferred my prescription by phone myself. I then called this branch to see if they received the transfer and they didn't. She replied that they have to do it, I asked her why do they have the self service of the customers do it by phone, she didn't know. Ok, so I called west orange and they did it. I then called this branch again to actually do the refill over the automated system.. It would be ready by 6pm. I called the next day to make sure before I went to pick it up but had to wait again to be transferred by the front desk first. The pharmacy doesn't have it in stock..CALCIUM PILLS...really, she said they will call me back.. Still waiting.. I will just have to go back to the friendlier west orange branch!!.. It's such a shame that the urban areas get treated in such an uncaring way vs the suburbs.. That's the reason I go out of my way!!

I dropped off prescriptions on 3/24/16, then because I didn't have any money until the 1st, didn't get to pick them up until the 5th. I gave them my prescription drug plan info, as I'd not had it with me before. But then they only had 3 of the 4 prescriptions that I needed. I thought it would perhaps be 20 mins. or so at the most. But it ended up being about an hour & a half just to get the 4 prescriptions that I'd dropped off so long ago. A new staff person kept asking for my name, date of birth, etc. And kept asking if it was 3 prescriptions, saying that they were ready, I kept having to say, no it's 4, this went on for over an hour and a 1/2. Absurdly poor organization & extremely unprofessional. I did have other things to do, but I was hungry, tired, & in pain. I couldn't even go run my other errands as I'd intended, one of which was grocery shopping. I was so tired, hungry, & miserable by the time I finished there that I simply went back home to take my medication that I had so patiently waited for. I don't know what is wrong over there or why they're so inept at getting prescriptions ready for people. But I also plan to contact them directly about this as well. I made the mistake of going there because it was so close to me, but if it comes down to a choice, I'll never use them again. Don't even bother, save yourself the trouble and go to Walgreens.

Pharmacy on more than one occasion answers calls then immediately hangs up the phone. Pharmacist can't control people who work there. You don't play phone games when people are calling about their meds. Fire all of them. I hope they see this too. Manager doesn't hold them accountable until their hangup games kill somebody if it hasn't already. Only get 1 star because wouldn't let me post my real grade zero stars. Grade F
