Risson Community Health Primary Care

I have been very pleased with the health care treatment that I received at Risson Primary Care. The provider spent time listening to my health concerns and he did not rush to get me out of his office in five minutes. Mr. Crookson took the time to get to know me and the questions that he ask made me feel that he understood my health concerns. He has become my primary health care provider.

The office staff are pleasant and the office is conveniently located. I have recommended Mr. Crookson to several of my friends.

If you are transgender or anywhere else on the LGBTQIA acronym then avoid this office. When I entered this office I stated my transgender status. After asking a few questions about my gender identity, it was immediately ignored and more concernedly, openly ridiculed by the healthcare provider there. Each subsequent time I have been in to see the doctor at Risson Community Health he would smile, grin or laugh to himself before calling me "Miss" after I openly requested that he respect my gender identity and how it affects my healthcare decisions.

Considering how hard it is for transgender individuals to get appropriate and safe healthcare, the doctor at Risson Community Health is not a good choice. He will be disrespectful of you and will openly refuse to acknowledge your identity or how that ties into your healthcare decisions, and will most likely be unhelpful in any health decisions made in regards to transgender healthcare.
