I haven't been to the dentist in many years after a horrific dental experience in a foreign country. My dental plan was to ignore my teeth until they needed to be pulled out.
A few weeks ago, I bit down hard on a nut and a minor discomfort slowly built into a simmering pain over two weeks. By the time I called Dr.Rickerby, I was in such excruciating pain that I had no choice but to face my fears.
Dr. Rickerby's immediately put me at ease with his big smile and friendly demeanor, but quite honestly, I still didn't trust him not to cause me serious pain. Before we began, I quickly explained that Novocaine took a while to work on me and that I hoped we could go slow, etc. At no point did the good doctor complain, and listened to me, waited patiently, checked my pain levels, etc. And when he finally began drilling, I had to admit, I didn't feel a thing. Not only did it not hurt, he was extremely focused and efficient, wasting no time so my procedure was over and done before I could believe it.
Also, the doctor and his staff helped me understand the importance of dental health and assisted me on creating a long-term plan for future care, something I NEVER thought I'd do. I'm in my 40s now and I'm very happy that I finally addressed this problem. I'm grateful for Dr. Rickerby's help and guidance and recommend him 100%.
