I Will no longer do business with them again. not professional. Never call me back when they said they would.. since the first day I had a bad feeling shouldve just went with my gut... edge design was wrong and the sink hole is not even... just all around headache... spend a little more and get pros to do the job not these dumbies...

Description Of Work: I had ordered a 10' counter for a Media Room. I went to Richmond Stone and Granite for the granite. I had bought granite before and was assured that they would make a template and install the piece correctly. 100% payment was demanded up front. When the person came to measure, he warned me that my piece was going to be very heavy and I should make sure they give him enough men to carry it. I called and was assured since I was less then 1/4 mile away they would send 6 men. I was then told that a template was not necessary. I specifically asked if it would be flush to the wall and was assured that they had been doing this for so long that I should trust them and once again I was promised that 6 men would arrive. They made an appointment and broke it 30 minutes after they were due to arrive. They rescheduled for the following week and I was promised one last time that everything would be fine.Member Comments: . When they arrived only 3 men were there, they dropped the piece inside the truck causing several chips one of which was over 2" in diameter. I call the office immediately and spoke with Frank, the owner. I asked why the appropriate number of people were not sent as promised. He was rude and cursed at me, to summerize he said that I had no right to tell him haw many men to send and chips were a part of the business then he hung up on me. The installer told me that if he returned the stone they would just put the same patch in it as they would have in my home and they would surely drop it again. He promised me he would cut a new piece, a backsplash, they would cover everything. When they installed it, they would nowhere near flush, but again I was promised that the backsplash would fix everything and I would be called later that day. After two days I called and was told that they would get back to me soon. I called several days later and was told the same thing. After two weeks I called a thrid time and was told that they didn't know what I was talking about. I called the BBB and filed a complaint which they ignored receiving a rating of "F" in the process. I called my credit card company and I was sent an answer back from the credit card company with the response full of lies and saying I had never contacted them. I sent a regestered letter which they refused, I guess they are used to getting them. My wife called and they said they would fix the problem only after I sent them a letter saying they did nothing wrong. (well that was never going to happen). The woman said they are sued all the time and I should "knock myself out". So it's off to court I go!

I would recommend Richmond granite to anybody who needs a counter top they have slabs to view not like the other guys in Staten Island where you got to pick from samples then go to jersey a waste of time gas and a toll . we went to 3 places in jersey before we found Richmond from one of my friends that had a job done the price was good and they cut the granite immediately and installed without any problems i want to thank Diane and the whole team that worked on my counter tops

I wanted to say what a great experience I had working with Richmond Granite . I called for a quote and Diane got back to me almost immediately. (This was in contrast to other companies who either never responded or were several days in following up with me.) Diane was also very helpful in expediting the process and offering suggestions on the products. The installers did a great job and everyone I had contact with was friendly and professional. The final product is beautiful so put me down as one highly impressed customer.
