Reviews to RFK Triborough Bridge
Beautiful bridge designed in-part by world renowned bridge engineer Othmar H. Ammann (who brought us such engineering marvels as the GWB and Lincoln Tunnel). The pedestrian path carries you up, away from traffic, between Astoria and Wards Island, delivering unparalleled views of the skyline beyond, and of Astoria below.
We have Robert Moses to thank. Traffic may be bad but if there were no bridge at all life would be much more difficult.

Always traffic, always busy. This is one of the most important bridges in New York, couldn't they add few more lanes, or at least speed up the never ending construction going on here for the last who knows how many years?

The Triborough, or Triboro Bridge for short has been a convenient connector to the three Boroughs of Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx since it's construction during the Great Depression. Anyone local, and still most signs will reflect the accurate naming, although after 30+ years of pushing NY State, in 2008, the Kennedy family had the state of New York spend upwards of $40 million to rename the previously appointed National Historic Landmark after RFK.

Since they have completed the repairs, they changed my life.
A drive that used to take me more than 2 hours, now can take less than an hour and a half.
And about the new name, i guess it will take them a long time before people will get use to it...
Went there again yesterday. The people who work there are so rude.

Why does it matter if it's named after Bobby Kennedy? He was instrumental in taking down organized crime in NYC. Nobody complains about JFK airport so apparently the Kennedy's have strong ties there. Also it is just a bridge people lol.
