The burger is great but the fries all seemed to be way over cooked

Reynard serves the most delicious brunch I've had in this city.

Nice ambiance though a bit expected for a hipster hotel restaurant. Enjoyed the cocktails and appetizers (at least the soup and grilled cabbage) but not impressed with the entrées. Overall a bit generic and lacked personality. Still interested in trying their brunch.

We had a great experience overall at the Wythe Hotel. Drinks before dinner upstairs in the bar with an awesome view of Manhattan and a rooftop area outside.
Most of the staff were helpful and attentive, they charged my phone and took lots of our shopping bags in the coat check.
Food was good, hand cut beef tartare was great, scallops were fine, steak was fine, and had a nice bottle of red suggested by the sommelier. We liked the ambience and had a great corner table.
The waitress and sommelier were knowledgable, but not particularly warm.
Nor was the bartender upstairs, who turned quite friendly when he gave us our bill.
The hostesses and waitresses upstairs were great and very friendly!
We eat out a lot in London and just find that here in London, cool places seem to understand the importance of personality and warmth, we experienced this a few times in NYC, where the 'hip' get a bit confused and think that being cold, as a service person, is how it's done!
NOTE: It just ends up alienating your customers!
Would go back for drinks and the view.

We dined there several nights ago and had a wonderful time. Our party of five were most impressed with every aspect of our experience. It was a beautiful evening and we arrived half an hour early due to the ease of traffic we had coming over from Manhattan's UWS. So we decided to get a drink at the Wythe's rooftop bar, Ides. We were greeted by polite staffers at every door and entrance who genuinely seemed pleased to have us at the hotel. We were escorted up the elevator and WOW what a fantastic view of the Manhattan skyline greeted us. We got our drinks at the long festive bar and headed outside to the wrap around roof deck. There were all kinds of nooks and crannies to congregate in and inviting furniture sit. We opted for the view and it was pretty spectacular. After some people watching we headed down to Reynard for dinner. We enjoyed everything. Our drinks were perfectly constructed, and the wine choice suggested to me by Jen was terrific. I won't go into everyones' meals but I will tell you about mine. I started off with roasted olives and an order of their deviled eggs. Whew were they good. I also had a salad of summer vegetables with cucumbers, plums and feta and snow peas. The combination was transcendent with many flavor levels that had my taste buds dancing. For my entree I chose the roasted chicken and grilled asparagus with multigrain croutons, mushrooms and potato. I have never had chicken so tasty and juicy before. I finished my meal with a chocolate sorbet. Awesome meal, service, energy and space. Can't wait to go back and try something else on this ever changing menu.
