Don't try to make a return if you haven't paid to be a member. I came in w proof of purchase, not my receipt, but credit card statement showing the date of purchase, exact amount paid, and location purchased and they refused to accept return. Will go back to Campmor from now on.

Fine place for outdoors stuff, but couldn't find a good selection winter wear during the off season.

Awful customer service and uneducated employees! Overall I'd give the employees (not the store) 0 stars if google allowed it. This store needs to hire people who are actually knowledgeable in outdoor gear. Just go to campmor if you are actually looking for information on your gear purchases.

They seem to know about their equipment but are always trying to sell the most expensive stuff and don't really care to help you stay at your budget. If you can't afford the top merchandise they are not interested in giving you the time you need. Campmor is much better in my experience. The employees at campmor are hit or miss but it's not hard to sift out the helpful ones who truly love what they do and would talk your ear off about their travels. I say skip REI and either shop campmor or amazon to save the most money and get the best equipment for your needs.

Huge outdoor outfitting store. Good selection of hiking, camping, and biking supplies, though the running slection was nearly non existent. The brands are typically high end like Patagonia and North Face, so prices are high so look for discounts and sales. The staff is fairly friendly and helpful and even helped us box up a purchase for shipping overseas.
