Rego Park Cafe

If you are looking for a fancy place, this is not it. If you are looking for a tiny, usually busy, but good place, this is it.
I've never had to wait longer than a few minutes and it's understandable as it has like 5 4-seat tables and maybe another 6 2-seat ones.
Food is good and service is friendly.

Ok, where do I begin with this place? Soo good. For breakfast, the sausage is really good with french toast. The empanadas are a must try- both the beef and chicken ones are great, just make sure to ask for the spicy sauce that comes with it.
The staff is always friendly which is nice. A must try when visiting Rego Park.

Their is just nothing to say its the best go there you will be happy

Not a bad place to grab lunch if you're out shopping. Don't drink the coffee though. It has a STRONG laxative effect that has caused me to jog the last two blocks home on several occasions until I learned to avoid it.

I started going here a few months ago even though the service is poor, but barely adequate. The place is right downstairs and the price is right.
The female manager Sunday morning is right out of a horror movie. My wife and I arrived early as only two other diners were there. The waitress/manager took far more time to take our order even though she was just chatting with another employee. She would always be running off before the order was even given.Then when the food arrived, no jam or butter for the toast was given and no Orange juice nor water was given! When i asked her what was going on, she responded by saying that we don't give enough of a tip!!
We always leave at least 15% even with the poor service! Always!

Either she doesn't know how to calculate basic math or she just doesn't care.
We summarily left without making a scene but will NEVER go back. I recommend anyone to stay away from this place.
