Sadfully, the pizza isn't worth it.

Originally really liked this place. But terrible customer service. Waited 90 mins for an order when it said 30-45 mins. Blamed it the fact that he was short handed. Then proceeded to make jokes and chuckle.

I've been going to Regina's for years out of convenience, their ability to take credit card, and the fact that they give a student discount for St. John's students.
Pros: Parking is usually easy, food is usually ready fast and usually hasn't been sitting long
I stopped going to Regina's for a while after the boss hired new staff. I saw them spraying pesticide around (but not directly on) the counter, with food on it, while the store was still open. They didn't move the food at all or even clean afterwards, but I got over this because I thought it might be a food-safe pesticide and the fact that it wasn't sprayed directly on food-contacting surfaces. I started going back because there's no other pizza place close by that takes credit cards and is as cheap.
Let me start off by saying that the pizza tastes okay, but not great. For what it is, it's too expensive. Their hot plates and pastas are really nothing to write home about. I tried their baked ziti as well as penne a la vodka and both were usually overcooked on the outside, inconsistent, and burning hot inside. The bread sticks that they give with the hot plates sucks. Their calzones are far too oily, and their heroes are skimpy on cheese and sometimes have burned bread.
Before the staff changed over, I knew everybody and they were always kind and courteous. The food was good and the environment was relaxed. The new staff is simply rude. The manager doesn't speak and is always in his own world, and ignores people and gets an attitude when people talk to him. He always has a scowl on his face and never talks to customers.
I live 7 minutes away from Regina's in traffic, and they have delivered to me on a number of occasions without issues. I usually tip 4 or 5 dollars to the delivery driver consistently because I know it's just at the edge of where they will deliver. Tonight I placed an order, and the cashier took the order and billed my credit card with a 45 minute to an hour expected delivery time. Five minutes later I got a call back claiming that I lived too far away for them to deliver (7 minutes, straight down the block). I asked if they had already billed my credit card, and the cashier said yes but that he had already voided it.
When I spoke to the manager and explained that I live 7 minutes away in traffic, he did everything but call me a liar directly. He said that the charge had not yet been voided (meaning the cashier lied to me), and that they had never delivered to the address before (another lie). When I pushed the matter and said that they should honor the order this time since they already charged me, he said that he could deliver with an expected time of 45 minutes to an hour but that it would take longer than the previously given ETA (even though he gave me the same time). He then started saying that I wasn't listening to him because I was talking too much, and going back on his statements while being extremely rude to me. I told him to void the transaction because I was disgusted with him.
In addition to this, knowing that I speak with the former workers there, he started bad-mouthing the former delivery drivers to me. In all honesty, the food isn't anything more than average and doesn't even come close to being exceptional. The poor attitude displayed towards me and the inconsistency in service is a definite let down, considering that it has been the most convenient place for me to go for years. From now on, I'm going to spend the extra few dollars and go to Acquista Trattoria (two blocks away). Acquista has never served a dish that wasn't satisfying, even though they're more expensive. Anybody thinking about eating here should order from Acquista Trattoria or Romeo's Pizzeria instead. Yes these places will be on average $2 to $3 more, but they are far more consistent and serve food that is a world ahead of Regina's.

The most poorly tasting food. Very bad service. And not clean at all. I do not suggest visiting this place.
