Reviews to Regency Park Nursing and Postacute Rehabilitation Centers
My mom has been a resident at regency park for 3 years and has received awesome quality care and compassion from all of her nurses and aides, especially Theresa and Elaine on 2 west. We cannot be happier or more grateful to this fantastic organization for taking what was a gut wrenching decision for us (we agonized before placing mom in a nursing home after living in our home with us for the last 7 years before her admission) and turning us into believers! We sleep well at night knowing she is in good hands.

I wanted to transfer my grandma from a nursing facility in another state to a facility in New Jersey so that she could be closer to me and my mom. During my research, I came across Regency Park Nursing Center in Hazlet and selected this facility as one of my highest choices due to its high stars rating in many different categories. I did the iniital tour with the Director of Admission Judah Gutwein. He was extremely helpful and gave me guidance on how to start the process of transferring my grandma. After the initial tour, I felt relieved that I was able to find a great place for my grandma.
The process of transfer ran smoothly due to all the help I got from Mr. Gutwein. All the staffs at the facility were wonderful to my grandma the minute she arrived and they made sure that she felt comfortable and safe. Every week when I come to visit her, she always has a smile on her face and tells me how she loves her new home and is pleased with all the staffs who have been taking great care of her. She is also enjoying all the acitivies that the facility has to offer. I feel such great comfort to know that I was lucky enough to find Regency Park Nursing Center in Hazlet so that my grandma can be near me.
I highly recommend this facility to anyone who has such struggles finding a new home for their loved ones. I have been there in your place and understand your fears. My fears have dissolved thanks to Regency Park Center in Hazlet.

Regency Park is a solidly run facility with friendly, attentive staff. We transferred my Mom from another sub-acute facility in the area to finish her sub-acute care at Regency before moving on to long-term care there. From the transfer process to physical therapy to daily care we have had no complaints. My Mom constantly comments on the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and she greatly preferred the physical therapy at Regency Park to the PT at the other facility she was transferred from.
There is also great attention to detail at Regency. Once when leaving Regency after visiting my Mom, I saw Judah Gutwein, the admissions director, personally inspecting all the food trays before they were distributed to residents. There had previously been some mixups and it appeared he was comparing each meal ticket to each tray to ensure accuracy. It’s these little things that matter and which ultimately contribute to quality care and a well-run place. On my next visit, Mom told me that the mixups had ended. Judah was also very helpful with the entire transfer process and is a joy to work with during such a difficult time.

I had loved ones at Regency Park. I cant say enough wonderful things about the staff and nursing department. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. It is by far the best nursing and rehabilitation center in the entire area.

1. Nursing staff gives wrong medication, double dosed, and skip medications altogether.
2. A diabetic and no salt menu was instructed by the primary physical and requested by family members in writing, but the staff kept serving a high sugar content breakfast and salt was never removed from the diet.
3. Physical therapy for a person that COULD WALK consisted of a ride throughout the floor on a wheel chair and nothing else.
4. There is a total mis-organization, mis-management and miscommunication between staff and physicians, doctors orders are not followed.
5. Sedatives, which were prescribed as optional and ONLY if the patient requested, were forced on the patient even after the patient and family members refused the sedatives.
6. Nurse medicate patients to keep them asleep day and night when family members are not present.
7. Left patient screaming and crying for help all night and no one showed up to help.
8. Staff pretends to care and do their work only when family members are present, evidently falsely pretending to care & work efficiently .
9. A complaint was made to the supervisor, but nothing changed except the attitude of some nurses who refused to come to the room as needed.
It is AWFUL and SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED.
