The staff are friendly. They take the time to interact with people. Further, the staff has a room where people can put a request to either have their own presentation, public forum, study room, or any approved activity. There's a chess class every Thursday for kids and adults who want to learn how to play. The outreach to the public is excellent.
I only wish they had more books. Maybe the computers can be consolidated to one area, which would allow more space to put in more shelves and more books. Especially classical books, for example all of Shakespeare, Dickens, Hemingway, Twain, Hugo, etc., needs to be expanded. It would be great, too, if they could get textbooks that many CUNY college students would use. This would bring in more patrons to Red Hook BPL.

Little selection, just seem like they just threw it there because they had too. I love the library but this one turned me off... I hope all Brooklyn libraries aren't like this, it just look like a whole in the wall like they don't care... Couple of computers... Ugh, I'm from queens & this is just a huge difference.
