Horrible!!! I had a family member here and they wanted to walk out because there was no service what's so ever and the patient had a hip replacement surgery...imagine that! My cousin was told that if she needed help to bring a family member if you needed help to use the bathroom! She wasn't given any pain medication for two days! I wouldn't suggest anyone to go there! Hospices are better than this place!

I currently have my grandmother at Rebekah Rehab & Extended Care Center for rehabilitation - so far, the service is amazing. They treat my grandmother extremely well. The cleanliness of this center is also of 5-star. I even swiped my finger through the top of my grandmother's closet, and no dust, what so ever.

If you're post op and in pain prepare yourself for a roller~coaster ride! I arrived at Rebekahs for physical therapy after 6 days in a long island hospital with a hip replacement! Rebekahs knew before i arrived at 1pm my situation & all the different medication i was on. However 1st time i requested my pain medication at 5pm didn't get it until 9pm. And hasn't changed since day i arrived. Not to mention i had 2 of Rebekahs staff members bump into my new hip several times and another one tell me it was okay to cross legs-biggest no-no after a hip replacement! So i don't know how Rebekahs was years ago but right now most of the staff (2 bad for the few good ones) definitely needs to be retrained! Oh main thing the director of social services Harris Berner practically called me a drug addict for getting upset that every time i asked for pain medication and had two wait more than two hours. He actually questioned why i was in a long island hospital if I'm from the bronx before i came to their facility! When i explained that it was the hospital my doctor operates he try to insinuate that i must've been up to no good in long island when my hip had to be replaced so would be the only explanation for me a hi-yellow Hispanic to be in Rockville Center Long Island because that's his redneck of the woods. Thank GOD i was treated like a human being by staff at Mercy Medical Center. Mercy staff as well as My Doctor Kubiak deserve 10 Stars.

I have given eye doctor services to patients in a LOT of different nursing Homes.. some are good, some are bad, and some are incredible... RR and staff are Incredible. I am happy to be a part of a staff that is really exceptional. The facility is exceptional and the atmosphere is something that I would want for my own grandparents if they were still around.

see for yourself pop in and ask for a tour.

First of all.......the address is NOT 1072 Havemeyer. The correct address is 1070 Havemeyer. And for accessaride users, the cross street is WATSON AVE and the Cross Bronx Expy. My experience as a handicapped visitor initally was excellent. The grounds were well kept. Upon entering, I was hungry and asked the guard was there somewhere to get a coffee and danish. He pointed me to the right of the lobby and make a left turn. I was greeted by a woman that reminded me what customer service was. Because I had a walker and sat down at one of the tables, Joan (is her name) greeted me, took my order and brought everything to the table for me. I was shocked when the food I received was exactly what I ordered!. Joan was kind and loving to several of the residents that came to Le Cafe.I left Le Cafe giving Joan a BIG HUG!
The inside was beautiful and clean. Suprisingly, the Nurses station was actually an office with employees busy at work. I went to visit my loved one and was slightly disappointed by the complaints she had. We takled about the complaints, read Psalm 67 and prayed. The staff that attended to her could have used some "people skills training". But in the staff's defense, the facility could have used more staff in the situation I observed and surely in other situations too. Overall I give Rebekah a 2 because patient care is always most important.
