I visited the school and hoping to see the picture in my mind for Montessori school that my oldest daughter attended in MD but it looks like they have from the Montessori reputation only the NAME and that's it.
The staff are so tired and rude to the kids. I was so surprised when i was listening to the person who is introducing me to (up to 18 months class) one of the teachers pulled a child from hand strongly and forced her to sit in a spot with no pre-warning (what warning we are talking about here .. they are not even 18 months!!!!). The child started crying heavily and she did no thing at all .. and guess what i was watching this and they do not care whether new people are coming to see the school.
All of the teachers look very exhausted and have no energy at all, the class for 18 month to 3 yrs look very sad with their teacher which i thought she is the cleaner person (with all respect) but no gloves with her hair all over the places and with one loud voice, she ordered couple kids to sit a lone just because they were crying. I can talk until tomorrow but with all of that i have the picture of my beautiful 15 months in my mind if ever been in this place by any chance (which is now impossible).
It depends on each parent but personally I forgot that I went there and will not even share it with my wife.

I find Ms Thompson's review to be inaccurate. This person has never visited our school and/or has never had their child/children enrolled in one of our schools. We check the identity of all of our visitor's when they come to visit our schools and this woman has never been in our facility. My staff treats all of our families with the utmost respect. We are a very multicultural school and we do not discriminate. However, we feel that this is a fictitious name and the person who may have written this was unhappy with our school due to the fact that she could not pay her monthly tuition and was asked to leave. It had nothing to do with how my staff treated her or her child. We ask that you disregard her post, keep an open mind and please come visit one of our schools and you will see her statement is false. Thank you.

The school is awesome if you are WHITE and have lots of money. I brought my daughter there and I would watch while the white people got the "how are you"," your son is doing well" blah blah blah comments. I didn't get any of that and as a black person you are made to feel like you dont belong there or are uneducated. Yes I am not kidding.
If you are tough and only want the school because of the name, then this is it for you.

Small crowded classrooms, poor location (right next to the highway so your kid wll be playing in fumes when they do go outside), staff is mostly unenthusiastic or just tired (why work with children if you don't like children?) with a few exceptions, very expensive. They fed my daughter Oreos daily without my permission & continued feeding her unapproved food until I told them 4-5 times to stop, we probably could have sued for that. They have the Montessori name & materials but just because you have some materials & the name doesn't mean you can hire any old person & expect magic to happen. If you're too busy to find a better school & like paying for brand names & bragging rights this place is for you.
My daughter used to come home with art projects made by the teachers that she had no hand in making herself, a teacher (or assistant) would sit in the middle of the room & make them for the kids like an assembly worker (I'd rather have someone actually teach & I can get random crafts @ Dollar Tree), where's the learning in that? Playground is small & the kids didn't go out much even on fairly nice days. One teacher made the wonderful remark to my kid that "If you stick your tongue out one more time I'm going to cut it out" and within a week of going to the "school" my daughter was regularly putting her dolls in "time out", "Why?" I asked... she didn't know.

This is the ULTIMATE Montessori school in Northern NJ! The program is advanced, the teachers are amazing and the children are well prepared when they graduate to their respective higher learnings. We have been blessed with watching both of our daughters successfully develop into children who are independent, have a love for learning, reading, and problem solving, while developing not only excellent school-readiness, but also developing dually important social-skills. Our first daughter attended from Pre-K thru Kindergarten, and has excelled in 1st grade due to the high level of reading, math and social skills she developed here. Our second daughter started in the toddler class and has moved into Pre-K, and we plan to keep her through kindergarten as well. Mrs. Mafucci and the Montessori teachers at this school not only teach the Montessori way, but also provide a nurturing, caring and loving environment for children. I've counted on Rainbow Montessori in Bloomfield for 4 years, and so can you!
