- Terrible #32404
I had the worst night ever, even though in other days it was great. I wanted to be regular in this bar and I thought it was a great bar, but You have to choose well the people who work there, you have a stupid bouncer who does not know how to treat people... he didn't let me go to the restroom, and he insult me because I insist, politely. I had to walk a lot with my bladder full, I had to pee in the train station. Just because this asshole want go to sleep proud because he insult a customer, that's what makes him happy. I don't want to brag about my degrees and my education, but I don't like to be treated as a bum either. I know nothing is going to be done about it, so unfortunately, I wont go anymore to this bar. And if you don't like foreigners, please put a notice outside, so nobody else go trough the same. Thank you. (I will erase this comment in a few days, because it is a great bar, and I understand what it is to have bad employees). I DON'T KNOW HOW TO ADD A NEW MESSAGE, HE HAD LONG HAIR LIKE A HORSE TAIL MAYBE, AND HE DIDN'T LET ME GO BECAUSE HE SAID THAT THEY WERE SCREAMING LAST CALL, BUT I DIDN'T "FUCKING" LISTEN (literally as he said OR SCREAM). but the fact is that I do listened but my friends were to the restroom first, so I have to stay taking care of their stuff unfortunately, so that's how it happen . BTW the bartender refuse to take us a picture, that's not so important but they could be more polite. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR STAFF.

We went here for new year, 9 of us, and wow what an experience. Extremely friendly crowd, free new year related trinkets handed out all night, fantastic (table!) service and a wonderful atmosphere all round. We popped in a couple of days before and thought it just looked like a warm and friendly place - we were right!

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Live music was playing on the patio. Food was very good, as were the cocktails, and our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Steak Tartare: this plate was deconstructed, so it came with steak tartare with an egg on top, and sides of relishes and other sauces with toast

Vegetable Latkes- these latkes were very good, bacon was delicious, as was the homemade applesauce and the horseradish paired with it nicely and I don't usually like horseradish

The vodka and cider cocktail was refreshing and not too sweet. Perfect for a hot day

Delicious German beer selection, but seemed to be out of quite a few selections we tried to make. Great indoor/outdoor space for large groups and the live music was good too. The pretzel I have to admit was disappointing, it didn't taste very fresh and was kind of burned. Friendly staff - will definitely be back!

My new favorite place. Their website is very misleading I thought it was going to be super upscale fancy expensive not my type of place. Turns out it's a very relaxed spot to chill on the long picnic tables and talk with friends over some grilled eats and German beer. Order an awesome brat with sauerkraut, hit the mustard bar and wash it down with German beer by the big liter stein. Can't wait to go back.
