I had the misfortune of renting an apartment owned and managed by this firm (1555 e 19 in Brooklyn). Simple issues were addressed and resolved quickly by the super (very responsive compared to others I've dealt with). When I had an issue with noise coming from the apartment above me, the management ignored my calls and letters. I had to move out since I couldn't sleep at night, and they waited 2 years to sue me for rent I "owed" AFTER I moved out. Their attitude is "we are bigger then you, so we will just threaten you with court if you don't like our service". The owner repeated "gas is included, and you get the air conditioners brand new" 4 times while we were signing the lease, but when I came to something that actually matters - no one was there to help.
I would stay as far away as possible -- the landlord or property manager never comes to the building, so your only point of contact for any issues is a very nice superintendant with limited English proficiency and no ability to fix issues that do not require a hammer.
