Wonderful wait staff and great drinks for this whole in the wall. Great find on a cute street. Pasta was divine and wonderful fennel salad. Tiramisu for dessert was heavenly.

- Very Good #123964
When Quinto Quarto is on, the pastas cane be startlingly good: best cacio e pepe that I've had in the U.S. and maybe even better than Italy (where I have spent many vacations). But there are two problems: it can be too noisy for civilized conversation (not an issue, I gather, for younger people) and sometimes the food is indeed awful. I have found no pattern to the swings in quality and I have therefore visited much less frequently than in the past.

- Terrible #123965
Really just terrible. The food was cold and lacked any flavor. I set the reservation and was embarassed to have found the only bad (really bad) Italian food in New York.

it's an intimate, romantic yet casual little place that seemed to have a lot of repeat customers. the dishes are authentic lazio region fare. the (all italian) staff is accommodating, friendly and fun. the menu is nothing too special but very good and reasonably priced. pasta is cooked al dente and comes with competently sauces (spaghetti cacio e pepe are worth a try). good food at good value.
