The visit is supposed to start at 1:15, but they make you wait outside the facility for almost 30 minutes before they let you in to begin the check-in process. It was raining and the CO's don't care, you must wait outside until you are called in and they only let 3 people in at a time.
The lockers are decent size, just remember to bring quarters for them. The old bald CO is truly a simpleton. He is ass backwards when it comes to getting people through the metal detectors efficiently. I had to ask him several times what he wants me to do because he was just all over the place with his orders and his old as stutters. Any back talk he'll shout and his eyes get big like he's trying to make a point lol. That was funny. Ladies, wear a belt and/or don't wear shirts that expose you're butt crack if you bend down because he will make you leave and buy another shirt at the Goodwill close by. Bring an extra shirt if you are unsure, I saw him do that to another girl, he almost did it to me , but my shirt just wasn't tucked in
I bought a food package in that weighed 7.8 pounds. I did the math and added up all the ounces, then converted it into pounds. The CO who checked in the packages in, R. Harding, put on my receipt 9lbs, like WTF! I am wondering if they included the 3 wife beaters and the 45 cigars I brought as part of the 10lb package limit.
The visiting room is in the mess hall the inmates eat in and they do have hot food and 1 microwave. The guys can walk with you to the vending machine, but can't stand around while the food is being heated. The table you sit at is like the long cafeteria tables back in middle school except they are made out of metal. The visit lasts until 3:45, so get there early but remember you will be waiting outside until about 1:30- 1:45 , and that's if you're one of the first on line.
