I came here to looking for another job but I left and didn't even apply for the job the job recruiter Ina is very nasty she talks to people like she's better because in her own words she has a "masters degree" she made me feel discouraged and embarrassed after she jumped down my throat about a interview question she thought I answered wrong but in reality she failed to listen because she's so busy running her mouth about her personal life furthermore most of the other staff I met weren't that pleasant neither front desk lady always complains about sitting there she's nasty to people as well u sit here all day waiting to get a job and its BS and one last thing if you don't know how to use computers well don't bother cause the guy in the computer room has a nasty attitude every time someone asks for help uuuggh overall never again I hated it I live in queens and traveled to Staten Island because I found they were very helpful in that site

Complete waste of time...you spend your whole day there waiting for staff to come off of lunch breaks and personal breaks. Just to be seen for 5 mins and accomplish absolutely nothing! Don't even waste your time going there..the staff is nasty! Especially the phone operator! They do nothing to help you! Your better off looking for a job yourself!

After reading many bad reviews about the Work Force Center I thought it was from people that are picky but today I found out they were right. I went in today thinking they were screening for certain airline they posted an ad in craigslist but I got there they have many applicants for different companies I didn't think anything bad about it, we went through orientation, career strategies, lunch break and "interview skills workshop" (which was more of a talk and no instruction or any tips were given.) When was time to talk to the account manager which it took a little long since I think she was on aim at her computer she finally asked me if i have a driver's license and of course i reply no, all she had to say you cant apply to this position since is in JFK and transportation is not reliable and you might need to work crazy schedules and be there by dawn. MIND YOU THE AD NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT A DRIVER'S LICENSE WAS NEEDED IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THE POSITION. What the Ad said was come in with a valid state ID or Driver license but using your logic even if you have a license it wont matter if you don't have a car. I stressed to the lady that my husband is a TSA officer and I would have reliable transportation she didn't listen to all of that. The reason I'm upset is because i had another interview and I decided to cancel it since I was more interested in the position that the work center was offering. I wasted my whole morning listening to non sense and at the end of the day I walked without a referral if you want to take your chances go ahead but I know you will be wasting your time going there. The only person that was real and professional was Vanessa one of the career adviser.
