Be careful going as a first time patient wanting a contact prescription. When booking my appointment on the phone, I requested an eye exam to refill my contact prescription which had run out. Halfway through the exam with the optometrist, she asked me if I also wanted a fitting for lenses since there was an extra charge. This lead to my confusion as that was what I wanted.
I spoke with Cesar about the matter and only then was I ever informed that contact lens exams were an extra $100 on top of my co-pay. I explained that I was never told this at any time prior(booking the appt on the phone, signing papers from the receptionist, pre-exam with assistant). I asked if it were possible to not get a prescription for glasses, but contacts only. He then told me new patients could not get a contact only exam, only if you were a prior patient. After much talking, he tried to tell me it was my fault for not knowing this policy... I was offered no apology from him, nor did he try in any way to make matters right.
I left soon after when my exam was finished(fairly avg exam, optometrist initially wanted to change my prescription before seeing that my glasses were perfectly fine). As I paid for the visit, I quickly explained what happened again to the receptionist. She only offered a half-hearted apology, also with no effort to correct the matter.
Needless to say I will never be coming back. If you are seeking a new optometrist, look elsewhere. Their practices are incompetent at best, unethical at worst.
