the absolute WORST hotel I've ever had the horrors of spending a night at. That being said, this was one of the most decent homeless shelters I've ever been to. But it could still be better.

My family came to visit for a day and they decided that they would spend the night at this inn. Worst decision ever. They were better off sleeping in my apartment or their cars than there. It smelled like straight up cigarettes and musk. And don't even get me started on the price. They won't be coming back here again.

Little by little its getting worse. I've been coming here for the last year (12 months), and over time it has gotten worse and worse. Even the management knows that place has gone down hill. You now have to check in behind a glass wall. I thought that was only reserved for hotels where you rent by the hour. They close down the front door at night and require guests to go to the back door and buzz the front desk for entry. If the place is that scared about its staff, how can we as guests feel safe.
I will not stay here anymore! If management is that worried about the staff being injured or hurt on the job by guests or robbers, then I need to go somewhere else. This is just not a safe part of NYC - unless you need to rent a room by the hour. After all there is a strip bar one block away.
Stay away - it does not deserve a price of $100 per night or more when its only worth $9.99 per hour.

Wonderful hotel in a very convenient location. I've stayed there twice and ready for a third visit.

Nice rooms and nice staff!
My husband and I stayed here for about 4 nights and really liked it - we will definitely stay here again when we come back to NY. It is a few blocks down from the train station; we felt very safe walking around. There didn't seem to be too many restaurants close by and the tapas restaurant the mgr recommended was just ok food wise, and had very slow service, but they were nice - this was back during the Blemont Stakes - which by the way we will never go back to - that's a whole other review but they don't handle crowds well at all!
