Public School 380

I am a teacher at P.S. 380. I love my job and love coming to school everyday. It is a nurturing, supportive environment. I am really not sure what "Hore Lyons" is talking about. All employees here are treated equally with respect. Ms. Nunez has been a great leader and inspires us all to take on leadership roles. She encourages everyone to work to their fullest potential.

As a staff member of P.S. 380 I couldn't disagree more with the above review. Ms. Nunez is kind, nurturing and follows all the rules and guidelines. She empowers us by formulating various teams which enables all staff members to have a say in the curriculum. Every student and staff member is treated equally and fairly. P.S.380 is and has been a great school one I would proudly put my own child in.

The principal of this school ELSA NUNEZ needs to be spoken with. She's a racist especially toward non Latinos. Many teachers have left and one should check the turn over to see how true it is. She is condescending, she's unprofessional, she's very emotional and her emotions come through during her interaction with teachers. She is a micro manager of sorts constantly hovering over teachers, sneaking up on teachers during their breaks. She comes at one like a lionness one has to wonder what she's so angry about. She sucks and she needs to be replaced, perhaps then you will see a more fluid cooperation between teachers, staff and students.

It's a pity that so many good teachers are not acknowledged for their hard work and dedication to the needs of children, especially special needs. Naturally it's a huge population of immigrants who have no clue what their rights are as parents and what rights are available for their children, they are fearful and thus do not question but some oversight is needed, someone needs to come in unannounced and audit this principal and how she interacts with her teachers. She has her teacher's pets and her favorites but towards others she's a tyrant, an oppressor and she creates an unhealhty and unsafe work environment one of harassment, scolding, badgering. Please D.O.E check her record. Check her out and that useless union representative who is either taking money under the table to turn the other way and defend this horrible principal. She is not a people person she doesn't know how to effectivel oversee her staff. She's a hick, she has no manners, she has no tact, she lacks diplomacy. She's full of herself because she's Hispanic, she thinks she has arrived and so now everyone must kiss up to her. She's lousy at what she does. She needs to quit, and let someone else who is a better fit for this school and for this job step in and replace this pathetic excuse of a "human being".
