Our daughter is new to P.S.38 and we love it thus far. They embrace the whole child. They embrace multiculturalism and encourage family involvement. This community is based on inclusion and togetherness. We have visited others schools like P.S.58 and P.S.29 and if you want your child to learn to appreciate what this city has to offer and what life is all about P.S.38 is the place to be. They have a G&T program and they are working on incorporating Spanish into the curriculum! They have an amazing overall arts program and each grade reaps its benefits. They try to keep class size on the smaller side and they have very big yard with playground. It is easily accessible by train, bus, or walking. The staff is great- the principal and the parent coordinator have great goals for this school. We are loving P.S.38! We are coming from P.S.29 and the change has been the best for our family and our daughter's wellbeing. P.S.29 does not lay the best roots since the community excludes anyone who is different from them.

Couldn't be happier with the school, great learning environment, diverse student body, arts and science well represented and tons of after school enrichment choices. We have one child in G&T first grade, and another going into G&T Kindergarten next year. I guess it's still considered undiscovered, which might be the reason for small class sizes.
