I Love that store! I do sewing and craft, and this is the first place I go when I have a project . You can find almost everything there. Take time to browse in the store, because they keep bringing new and different stuff. When I go there always come out with a lot of alternatives for new projects. It is mind blowing to walk throughout the store. The lady there is a little loud, but that is the way she talks. Do not think that she is fighting with you. She is really kind and helpful.
I never buy elsewhere without going there first.
I just love going there.

Closed Saturdays but open Sundays and late on weeknights (7pm, except Friday) which is convenient for me. This is a small shop but goes far back and has lots of threads, ribbons, fabrics, zippers etc crammed inside. They have a sale rack with yards of fabric marked down 75%. I found the guys working here to be helpful. Decent prices and I prefer to buy here than off Amazon.

I've been here multiple times to purchase costume supplies. Normally I try to avoid the lady who cuts the fabric because she is always yelling at someone. I've never been able to ask for help because she tends to huff and puff and one time threw her scissors on the table before she stomped over. Today was especially hostile as she yelled at me because some fabric fell on the floor. The fabric sits on top of each other and although I don't mind sifting through, occasionally when the stacks get really high, fabrics will fall. Today proved that this store has become such a poorly run business that I will never go there again.

The prices are ok, but not so low that you should put up with this type of experience. I went up to the fashion district on 38th street between 8th and 9th and was treated to a much better experience. I am definitely price conscious and the prices were comparable and on a few fabrics were actually cheaper. Notions and trim stores are also located on the same street so you don't have to go far. Seriously, the only reason I was going to PS was because they had a little bit of everything in one place, but after my experience, it is far better to go to 38th street and get way more option and better service.
