Good news! The Prospect Park Alliance has received funds to restore this beautiful building.
Originally an outdoor eating area of a restaurant attached on the Park drive side.

The Concert Pavilion, is not the Concert Grove House that was demolished in 1949. This Concert Pavillion designed by Vaux was completed in 1874. I noticed the pavilion consists of eight cast-iron posts modeled after Hindu columns of the medieval period which support an elaborately painted hipped roof with a stained-glass cupola. Also known as the Oriental Pavilion, the structure was used as an open-air restaurant for some time. In 1987 it underwent a complete restoration. Visit it.
