Prospect Heights Care Center

Clean Facility. Good attention from staff to patients. The food is horrible. My mom has been a patient there 4 times in the last 3 yrs. Other then the food service she likes it.

Mom has been there now two years in a row running and let me tell you, when she found out she needed to go back to rehab this year there was no question where she was going, it was Prospect Heights.

The nurses care, the aides care, the volunteers care. Her rehab team would reach out to me on her progress and to find out information necessary to get her home as soon as she was ready with the proper support. The place is kept clean. For the most part, it was rare to smell urine and if so, it was for a very short time.

As for the food, my mother eats it. Most places she picks and barely eats but for the most part she enjoys the meals, something often hard to do in an institutional setting.

The activities kept her busy when she wasn't rehabbing. If there is a knock on Prospect Heights, it is their limited television options and the old tube televisions they are still using. They should upgrade at least the television sets.

If she ever has to go back again (heaven forbid) it would be Prospect Heights.

MY MOM IS HERE CURRENTLY FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY AND SPEECH THERAPY AFTER SUFFERING A STROKE... THE FACILITY IS GREAT SO FAR...AND EVERYONE HAS BEEN VERY NICE. THIS IS A LOT BETTER THAN WELLINGTON HALL IN HACKENSACK..WHERE THE NURSING STAFF ARE RUDE, AND INNATTENTIVE TO THE ELDERLY PATIENTS.. I HAD TO SIGN MY MOM OUT OF WELLINGTON HALL AND I'M SO GLAD AND TRULY BLESSED FOR MY MOM TO BE AT PROSPECT HEIGHTS... THE STAFF AND FACILITY HERE ARE GREAT!!! IF YOU HAVE AN ELDERLY PARENT OR FRIEND THIS IS GREAT FOR TEMPORARY BASIS...
