Avoid this business!

I'm a technician who does occasional work for some medical offices who use this software on their PC's. Let me tell you about the nightmare support this company offers:

1) Their newest version of of the software at the time of this review is compatible to work with Windows 7. But this firm will only support Windows 7 PROFESSIONAL. The client PC I was working with had Windows 7 Ultimate, the same operating system with a few extra features. This type of nuance is completely unheard of across the board in all software tech support. And to hear the words "I can no longer talk to you unless you have our supported operating system" is most frustrating.

2) Tech support is by appointment ONLY. I called 3 days in a row @ 4 times a day (with messages) only to discover the their support EMAILED my client directly on the morning of the fourth day. It is 2011 and tech support in most industries has someone at the end of the phone waiting to answer your questions. You would think that if you called and left messages with your phone number that someone would actually get back to you. It seems like they have only ONE technician (John Bennett or Galette?) and he is never at his desk.

3) Rude and obnoxious. Ultimately, my client is forced to use this software and decided to downgrade to Win 7 PRO. But we wanted to make sure all the proper data was backed up to an external drive. So the main reason for my call to begin with was to verify which folders need to be backed up before wiping the system. It's a simple question and good techs check their backups before doing a drastic change like this. At one point during my 3 day wait for support, I got a call from the owner of the company (a woman) who was rude and condescending on my inquiry. She felt that a technician as myself should know how to back up their software (even though this poorly designed piece of crap software installs itself to about SEVEN different directories OUTSIDE of regular user folders). You'd think that support would be kind and courteous to their own clients.

Bottom line: We're looking to switch to another medical billing software that will offer us the support we need .....
