Ayet asan is my hair stylist and i always had and will do my hair by her. She knows exactly how to turn damage bad hair coloerd hair into a healthy hair and color. She does exactly what i want .As her experience is over thirty years o reccomend her for everybody. She can always improve your hair for the better

I am a very picky person and its very hard to please me. I have been hunting for a good hair salon for years and I finally found it! The long bobcat hair cut I wanted is exactly the right angle to my face. I love how it came out and the color job she did on my hair is amazing. Very pleased with the customer service, everyone is friendly and prices are great. Thank You!

I came from out of state to Fairlawn, NJ to attend a very formal wedding on Friday afternoon, and was staying at a friend’s house. The friend suggested posh as she had been there once and it was close by her home. I read the reviews on google, and felt assured that posh would do a good job styling my hair. I wanted to do a simple pin wave. For those that aren’t familiar with a pin wave, your hair has uniform horizontal waves down the length of the hair. Maybe about 3 or 4 waves depending on the length (my hair hits just below the shoulders and I brought extensions for added length). It was a classy look, soft and natural, where my hair would be able to move easily and my fingers would be able to move through my hair.

The hairstylist, Ayet, look at the picture that I showed her and said that she could do it. Then the hour of confusion and distress began. She began to rat my hair at my roots, hair spraying each section, and then would using a small curling iron to create tight, VERTICAL, ringlet curls at each section. While she was styling my hair, I kept hoping that maybe this was normal and that she would somehow fix it/style it at the end and it would all turn out right.

At the end, to my shock, my hair was a hard and crunchy tangle of random vertical, spirally ringlets. When I touched my hair, it was hard and did not move. I could not run my fingers through my hair as it was so tangled, and had been hairsprayed so much it was like a crunchy plastic helmet on my head and a crusty wall of wild curls around my shoulders.

While she was styling my hair, there were other stylists present that I showed the picture of what I wanted done as they stopped by to watch Ayet during the process. I also showed it to the front desk staff. They would look at the picture and then my hair, and then would not really say anything.

Ayet became upset when I expressed that I had not expected the result and referred back to the picture I had shown her at the beginning and throughout the process. I asked if it was possible to fix my hair. She began to brush my hair out roughly and started blaming my hair for being too short and the extensions that I had asked to be put in. Because she ratted my hair, the brushing was even more painful as she rapidly yanked the hairbrush through my hair. I told her to stop and that I was done.

I asked the front desk staff if the owner was present that day and whether I had to pay for the style. I told her that I was planning to go straight to my friend’s house to wash out my hair and rush to the wedding which was starting in an hour. Unfortunately, the owner was not in that day; ironically, she was also at a wedding (I wonder if we went to the same one…), so I ended up having to pay for the hair style ($56.00 plus an $8.00 tip as manners have been ingrained into me). I hope to be able to talk to the owner tomorrow to get a full refund back. Fingers crossed…

POSH Hair Salon rocks. Cindy has been cutting my three teenage sons' hair since each of them were less than one year of age. They are now 19, 17, and 14. The oldest, in college, sees Cindy within 24 hours of arriving at home from PA.

She knows how to interact with kids and is respectful of what they want (always easing them to the more conservative when she knows their mother is on the edge...). They ADORE Cindy. And their mom does too. And Anthony: what can we say about Anthony? He's the best!! Makes us feel like family, always flexible, always making the schedule work for us. We are POSH clients forever. Five stars.
