Portofino Cleaners

This is the worst dry cleaner ever. No exaggeration. They close randomly and are very unreliable, your clothes come back smelling as if they had never been cleaned at all, and they are unable to remove the most common of stains. This place is a complete waste of your time, energy and money. It might have a convenient location, but it will cause you nothing but a headache. You are better off going somewhere a little less convenient location wise where you will actually receive the service you pay for. Spare yourself from coming here.

How does a cleaning business stand out when machine cleaning offers the same level of shine to all such businesses? By being hospitable, by making the visits to the store memorable. And this is where Portofino cleaners lag. They are very indifferent, sometimes annoying and sometimes borders on being rude.

They are over priced and perform terrible alterations! First of all the person who does the alterations is never there so if you need something shortened, the front desk girl pins everything. Any female who wears a heel knows that the front of your pants needs to be shorter than the back. I asked the front desk girl to pin it this way, but when I received the pants they were the same length all the way around. I had a tank top that needed to be shortened and they put the hem on the wrong side!! Just sloppy work! I now need to get my pants fixed elsewhere. Terrible, terrible!

Very unreliable, sometimes they are just closed without explanation. The actual dry cleaning service was fine, but I'm not willing to leave clothes at a place where they might decide not to be open when I need to pick them up. "A+ Cleaners" is only a block away and is cheaper and is open when advertised.

Want dry cleaning with an attitude? Try Portofino Cleaners. First of all: It's overpriced. Second of all: the staff and management are rude and unfriendly. From the hourly workers to the classless upper management, they exhibit textbook BAD customer service. Oh, and the hours are negotiable - how convenient.

Had to pick up clothes the day before Thanksgiving, and the place was pitch black and locked a half hour before I was told they would be. How nice! Whoops! I guess everyone was trying to get the holidays started a little early.

When I went to pick up the clothes I needed for the holiday and explained what happened, all I received was a nice dose of denial and LIES. They told me they were there way past the time I was.....maybe they work in night vision when the sun goes down? Apparently the Portofino Cleaners doesn't really care about customer service. They couldn't care less about the inconvenience they had caused - or care about the fact I would never go back.

Oh, and they do a crappy job at pressing shirts and I'm missing buttons on half of them. What a lousy establishment.
