Plato's Closet

Horrible. Nothing is ever buyed from all associate's. Every response is "unfortunately we're going to have to pass on this item because it's not really selling for us" nothing ever really sells for them. Policies need to be reviewed.

I was blown away by my first ever experience at Plato's Closet in Lyndhurst. I didn't really know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised to find great customer service and quality clothes at a very reasonable price. I found 3 awesome button down shirts (2 jcrew and 1 gap) and my wife found a brand new pair of Steve Madden heels, and we paid under $50! The owner personally took care of us. Him and his team were hospitable, accommodating, and fun to talk to. Overall, we had a great experience. I dont write a lot of reviews because most shopping experiences aren't worth noting, but this is definitely one we'll remember. I would recommend stopping in if you are looking for a great experience at a fraction of the cost. Thanks Plato's Closet!

I came here and was hoping to get something that was trendy as i had already spilled some coffee on my shirt and was not about to go out looking dirty. Came in and left with a pretty neat Calvin Klein shirt for $8. Was happy at the price and store was pretty clean unlike other thrift stores i been too. Will buy again.

They cant spot style and trends. Store is full of target merchandise and levis and cheap jeans and sweats. Offered me 6$ for a 200 and up pair of zigi girl boots never worn . Waste of time better of in nyc . Crossroads or buffalo exchange. Figured ide give the local spot a shot.

I called to ask to put a hold on an item I saw posted on your Instagram account today and the girl on the phone told me "they don't really do holds" (whatever that means) but proceeded to take down my information and asked me what time I could be in to pick up the item. I told her before 6pm and she said ok we will hold it for you. When I arrived at the store at 5:15, someone else had the item I was told was on hold for me in her hands. Needless to say I am VERY disappointed. If your employees do not know the store policy they should not be answering the phone and placing holds.
