Beautiful, romantic restaurant. Great, great prices! Homey dishes.

As authentic as it gets in NY. I felt like I was in Rome eating in some well kept secret restaurant
that only Italians were allowed to eat at. The pastas were wonderful and the use of unusual shaped noodles even made it better! The antipastos, soups and salads were equal to the entrees! 5 STARS!

If you are in NYC, do eat at Pisticci.
It's a semi-hidden Italian gem, far from midtown and lower Manhattan crowds. But, this is a popular place, and does get crowded in its own right.
The olives and cheese bowl with bread for an appetizer is great.
Then try the orecchiette broccoli rabe and, if you eat meat, add the spicy sausage.
An absolutely delicious meal!
Servers are often friendly and personable.

1.) I love the food, because it's delicious, authentic and so well done.
2.) I love the service, because the waiters are friendly, let you take your time and are actually able to describe the food and thus can help you with to make the right decision.
3.) I love the atmosphere because it's casual and cosy at the same time. And a place with free live Jazz und Sundays can't be too bad. The only reason to not recommend this place is that I might need a table in the future.
