Pioneer Academy

My child went to this school last year and i have to say i was extremely disappointed. This school is located in a nice town and the building is beautiful and of course student safety is great! BUT, thats all.
Pioneer has 0 diversity 95% of the student body and faculty are turkish which is fine but if you aren't turkish your kids will not belong. Students are constantly speaking turkish and teachers as well. I went to school during school hours and as i was waiting to talk to the principal all i heard was turkish, from both teachers and students. When i met with principal and some faculty i couldn't even understand what they were saying!! i can't even imagine how kids understand them during classes!! The school says they are diverse and that its a international school, that is a lie. My kids felt isolated and were extremely unhappy because their classmates would only speak in turkish they were even bullied because of that.
This school has a lot of potential but it needs a lot of changes

Pioneer Academy is truly New Jersey’s best kept secret. It is both a day school and boarding school. My son boards there. I am writing to give you a parent’s prospective of the school. Before deciding on Pioneer, we considered several high-profiled boarding schools. We were discussing the pros and cons of each of the schools we had visited until a colleague of mine suggested that I visit Pioneer. At the end of my initial visit to Pioneer, it became very clear to me that this was the school I wanted for my son. Pioneer had a different atmosphere about it. All of attending students spoke very highly of the school. Students described devoted teachers and a rigorous academic program. Now that my son attends Pioneer, I can attest that Pioneer is the best that academia has to offer. The teachers are very committed to their students and the curriculum is very challenging. The facilities and labs are top notch. Although Pioneer is a small school compared to others, it offers courses that are none of the other schools do. It is an exceptional college preparatory school and I highly recommend it.
