Very good place if your super hungry - ordered el Matador combo which is sizable enough for two people- the salchipapas were a bit meh but otherwise the place is very open and great for groups

- Terrible #61343
Great food but terrible service. The "manager" Gerardo is the worst.

I reserved a table for 20 people for my mom's birthday on a Saturday night. It took a few minutes for our whole party to arrive but when we had filled up our table, no one approached us to take our orders. We had to tell the other staff 3 times that we were ready to order and waited for total of about 40 minutes before Gerardo (the waiter in charge of our table) even approached us. We forgot about the crappy service because the food and the sangria was so good. We had several orders of the jalea, the matador combo, the lomo saltado, arroz chaufa and the sorbet platter. We had about 3 orders of each and had a lot of leftover food to take home.

After a great meal, I handed the bill with my credit card to one of the servers. After some time, Gerardo comes over and asks us if my credit card is still with me. I told him that I gave the card to another server with the bill. Apparently they had lost my credit card. They then proceeded to look for it under the seats and the tables and even asked the people in the adjacent table to stand up so that they could look for the card. All that time while the other servers were looking for the card, this guy Gerardo is just standing there stupidly. We go up to talk to him and ask to speak to the manager. He said that he was in charge that night and basically told us that it was not his fault. The guy never apologized and never even suggested a solution. We asked for his business card so that we could write a letter to their management. It took him a while to even give us a card.

We asked all our relatives to leave ahead of us as everybody was stressing out. After what was probably close to an hour of not getting even a suggestion of how to resolve the situation, I had to call my bank to report my card lost and just paid the bill with another credit card. I left my number with Gerardo so that they could let me know if they found the card. Later that night they called my to say that "another customer had found it in the women's restroom."

Safe to say I will never return to this location again as they really ruined what would have been a great birthday dinner for my mom. I realize that it was only that one guy that really mishandled the situation. He probably should not be a manager since he can't even speak to us nicely and apologize properly. Such a shame because the food really is delicious.
