Food is decent, apparently there was a centipeed in the water they served. Very nasty, needs to work on sanitation in the kitchen.

I called to inquire about a party for up to 40 people. Person who answered the phone was incredibly unhelpful, and would only provide a menu by fax; claimed he did not have a scanner so was unable to email. WHAT year is this?! When I asked if he was interested in my business, he said "No"!

What a disappointing meal. I had the Madrid tropical salad, which consisted of canned hearts of palms and what seemed like oil (and nothing else) as dressing. We moved on to the tapas. 2 of the 3 were ok. The meatballs and ham croquettes were quite tasty. The soggy tortilla espanola appeared to have been microwaved and it had very fatty strips of ham baked into it. The busboy then cleared our table and spilled the walnuts from the salad all over the table, but he was in too much of a rush to notice. We waited and waited for our entrees...and waited...the waiter came over and offered us dessert. We told him we were still waiting for our main course. One of us ordered the lamb - she was very very clear about wanting it medium rare. When it finally appeared, it was well done. We shared my arroz con pollo which was the strangest arroz con pollo I've ever had. Any Latin lunch counter in the city would do better. The chicken had no taste. The rice had no onions, peppers, olives or salt, for that matter. I think it was seasoned with nothing but vinegar. They also used the wrong kind of rice - arroz con pollo is a somewhat sticky rice dish. This was simply rice that was yellow with some boiled chicken tossed in. Even my Irish American husband thought it was off. For dessert, I played it safe and ordered the orange sorbet, so of course they brought lemon sorbet. My friend's flan was inedible, except for the caramel coating, which was ok. Please don't go here expecting to eat Spanish food. And expect cattle call service. Applebee's offers better service. And they might even do a better arroz con pollo. The only reason they aren't getting zero stars is because of the albondigas (meatballs) and the croquettes.

The food is great, big tapas and great in taste. Service is wonderfull. The sangria is one of my favorites and the place reminds me of Spain. It is decorated uin a typical elegant tradition of the spanish restaurans, and is very cozy. Great place to enjoy food and drinks and not to expensive.
